STELLEST

Updated: Apr 17, 2023

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is a common vision condition that causes distant objects to appear blurry or unfocused while nearby objects remain clear. This occurs when the shape of the eye causes light to focus in front of the retina rather than directly on it. Specifically, the eyeball is too long or the cornea is too steep, resulting in a blurry image on the retina and difficulty seeing objects located at a distance. Myopia typically develops during childhood or adolescence and can range in severity from mild to high. Eyeglasses or contact lenses are the most common treatments used to correct myopia, and an eye care professional can help determine the best course of treatment based on an individual's specific needs.

IS STELLEST THE RIGHT LENS FOR MY CHILD?

ALREADY MYOPIC

Today, most myopic children wear standard single vision lenses, which only correct short-sightedness (myopia). Stellest™ lenses aim to not only correct myopia but also control its progression. Ask your Optometrist if this product is right for your child.

STARTING TO GET MYOPIA

The younger a child develops myopia, generally the more it evolves and the stronger it becomes. Correct and control myopia progression with Stellest™ lenses** to help your child now and in the future.

STELLEST'S INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

Using H.A.L.T*** technology, Stellest™ lenses create a signal that acts as a shield to slow down myopia progression.**

CLINICALLY PROVEN

Our state-of-the-art 2-year clinical trial demonstrated compelling evidence of the effects of Stellest™ lenses.

Essilor Stellest is a new generation spectacle lens designed to correct myopia (nearsightedness) and control its progression in children and adolescents. This lens uses a combination of advanced optical design and innovative technology to help reduce myopia progression by up to 67%. The Essilor Stellest lens incorporates a number of features that are intended to optimize visual acuity and reduce eye strain. These include Wavefront technology, which helps to reduce distortions and aberrations in the lens, and an ultra-thin profile that allows for a more comfortable fit and better peripheral vision. Additionally, the lens material contains a unique blend of blue light filtering and UV blocking agents that can help protect the eyes from harmful light sources. While the Essilor Stellest lens is designed to specifically address myopia in children and adolescents, it is important to consult with an eye care professional to determine if this lens is appropriate for your child's individual needs. The eye care professional can conduct a comprehensive eye exam and make a recommendation for the most appropriate type of corrective lens.
